It has been mentioned through a series of memoirs that once a credible group of merchants and business people traveled from the Iranian capital Tehran to holy city of Qom to see meet religious authorities such as Marajeh, the great Muslim scholars who have had great followings among public in Islamic history.

The event is related to years before the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.

When merchants met Imam at the time, they asked him about their most important duties and obligations in those circumstances.

At this Imam replied that their major duty was to enlighten people that the Muslim scholars were carrying out an Islamic agenda in the interest of common people and the nation.

The business people were deeply impressed and decided to stand by Imam’s decades-long struggle against the Shah regime’s arrogant backers.

Finally, the Islamic Revolution emerged victorious under wise leadership of Imam Khomeini in 1979 and the remnants of Shah were thrown out of the country and the influence of imperial powers eliminated from Iran
