On the day that ‘Faw’ was liberated, the Imam came to our house in the afternoon and conveyed to us news of Faw’s capture. We did not know where exactly Faw was located but the Imam gave us a detailed explanation of Faw’s precise geographical location. He even gave details of the military operations and problems confronted by our combatants during it. He also spoke on the question of the Arvand River’s water flow and its downstream diversion as well as its high and low tides—of course to the extent that the military matters permitted.
