We would organize social get-togethers

The Imam would not fail to attend social get-togethers and reckoned such meetings of friends to be a sort of mental exercise and preparation. One day the Imam himself recalled: “When I was young, there was not a single weekend in which the social get-togethers with friends are not held and usually, we would go outside Qom and frequently to Jamkaran (a revered site and mosque near Qom). During the cold winter season we would keep ourselves busy by organizing social meetings inside our own chamber and when it was prayer time and we heard the call to prayer of the ‘Muezzin’, we would all stand to prayer.”
