In the initial days following victory of the Iranian Revolution when the Imam was residing in the Refah School, concerning the visits by women, when I told his holiness that because every day a large number of women passed out due to enormous crowd pressure, I sought the Imam’s permission to cancel visits by women altogether. In response the Imam stated firmly: “Do you think it were my and your notices that drove out the Shah?! Not at all, it was these same people that drove out the Shah; let them be as they are.”
