School girls vow to perform religious duties, obligations

A ceremony has been held at Imam Khomeini’s shrine where hundreds of young school girls vowed to observe religious obligation and social and moral duties.

The ceremony was held at the mausoleum which is located on southern suburbs of the Iranian capital Tehran.

The religious and spiritual gathering was attended by teachers, guardians and parents as well.

In such ceremonies, girls vow to regularly perform their religious obligations, observe social and moral norms and also pledge to ideals of Imam Khomeini and the Islamic Revolution.

At the end of ceremony, Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, led prayers at the holy shrine.

The victory of Islamic Revolution under wise leadership of Imam Khomeini in 1979 granted women their real position and status in the society.

Imam Khomeini asked women to actively participate in all sphere including political, social, religious and cultural.

The Islamic Revolution revived the spiritual and religious values and promoted spirituality at sensitive juncture of history.
