Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic had shown great memory at a hospital where he was spending last days of his life, medics say.
Members of Imam Khomeini’s medical teams have recalled through a series of memoirs that Imam distinguished doctors visiting him and remembered their faces and recommendations of all medics who were curing him during last days of his life.
Various medics used to visit Imam when he was spending time at a hospital in the Iranian capital Tehran, but he never mix up their faces or prescriptions.
Remembering all doctors was not an easy task since some members of Imam’s medical teams were permanent while others were temporary.
Imam Khomeini, who had acknowledged doctors’ specialization and authority in their relevant medical fields, used to follow the experts’ instruction accurately about medication or nutrition.
Imam Khomeini through his works and historic messages however recommended doctors to undertake medical ethic and moral while treating patients.
In addition, Imam Khomeini’s attention to spiritual matters had been never disrupted due to disease or anything else at the hospital.
Pundits believe that Imam Khomeini, who had well command over a range of knowledge disciplines such as philosophy, mysticism, jurisprudence and Quranic and Hadith Sciences, led the Islamic Revolution to victory by reliance on God, the Almighty and support of public masses.
Imam, the leader of contemporary Muslim world had pursued the matters of Islamic-Republic when he was spending the last moments of his life at the hospital.
