How did Turkish guards respond to academic discussions between Imam and his son?

A memoirs by Seyyed Mahmoud Duaei, a Imam’s companion

Following Imam’s exile to Turkish city of Boursa, Imam used to engage into academic discussions with his son Seyyed Mostafa. One day as they were having a discussion about a religious topic in a bit louder voice, the Turkish guards thought that an argument or a dispute was happening between these two persons.

The Turkish guards had special respect for imam as they were impressed by his divine personality.

So they tried to take Imam’s side and attempted to convince Seyyed Mostafa not to keep his voice up in front of Imam.

They (Imam and his son) smiled and explained for the guards that it was a routine academic discussion between them.
