Imam Khomeini was extra cautious about finance and endowments

A memoirs by Ayatollah Sheikh Hassan San’ei Book of memoirs from the book “Moderation's verse”

It has been narrated that the Imam's financial affairs, including funds and even the finances of his personal life, have been at my disposal since very early times.

Imam managed personal and family expenses with money of their own for each month.

Although I was not forced to keep each minor calculations account other matters, yet I was obliged to write down Imam’s living expenses.

For example, I had to keep bills of one kilo of lentils, half a kilo of cheese and other staples.

Imam’s simple life style has remained like just those of seminary studentship time even after becoming the leader of the Muslim world and leader of the Islamic revolution.
