Imam Khomeini, a political and cultural figure who revived pure Islam.

From my viewpoint, Imam Khomeini’s greatest accoplishment has been revival of Islam by his unprecedented cultural and political personality.

Islam’s influence had been on the decline over several past decades until Imam’s emergence who not only revived pure Muhammadan Islam, but also turned into a political power as well.

That is why we see that the Iranian revolution has also transformed and created a great intellectual change and shift among Sunni Muslims.

It was natural that Muslim scholars prior to Imam had undertaken stuggles on various sensitive junctures of history, but it was Imam who became too much prominent in this regard by leading Islamic Revolution to the victory.
