Mohammad Karim Khalili, the senior aide to the Afghan president made the remarks at a celebration ceremony held at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Afghan capital, Kabul.
It is noteworthy that the ceremony was attended by the Iranian officials, senior Afghan parliamentarians, cabinet ministers, presidential hopefuls for the upcoming elections and the several foreign ambassadors.
The top Afghan official presented his congratulations to the Supreme leader of the Islamic Republic and the Iranian nation on the 35th auspicious anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
He went onto say that the Afghan nation has been pleased with several accomplishments achieved by the Iranians during these decades.
Khalili also said the two nations enjoy very deep bilateral cultural, religious and political ties and this relationship has been improved over the some past few years.
The top Afghan government figure also praised the efforts undertaken by the Iranian Imam Khomeini Relief Committee to run charity programs across his country.
