According to Imam Khomeini’s Commemoration News Committee, Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah through a video conference gave a speech in a ceremony held in occasion of the 23rd anniversary of the demise of Imam Khomeini in Beirut, by emphasizing on keeping unity among the Muslim nation, counted Imam as a great Faqih, philosopher, mystic and scholar who introduces the pure Islam.
Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah remarked the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran as the greatest achievement of the Islamic revolution and said: “Establishing a government is more important that overthrowing the previous regime and today a lot of Arab countries who have had successful revolution are facing this challenge””
He added: “Imam Khomeini was a preacher of unity and complication among all Muslims or better to say all the oppressed throughout the world and the important role of Imam’s thoughts in the recent movements and the further of the region is quite obvious.”
During this ceremony that was held by the attendance of political and religious figures from the Muslims and Christians and from different tribes of Lebanon and also Lebanese and Palestinian national and Islamic party officials, a number of Shia, Sunni and Christian, political and religious figures of Lebanon by pointing to the personality of Imam Khomeini, named him the figure of the century who the impact of his different political and ideological dimensions are still gaining achievements.
