Commitment to Ethical Principles Are Seen in Every Point of Imam’s Life

Imam Khomeini’s grandson by mentioning that commitments to ethical principles are seen in every point of Imam’s life, said: “A great ethical symbol in the Islamic world is Imam Ali (a.s.). One day he kept silence for the sake of God, and another day he drew his sword for God’s sake and a day he companied the orphans for the sake of God.”

According to Jamaran news agency, Hojatoleslam Sayyid Hassan Khomeini described four different schools of ethic’s philosophy during this conference which was held at the IRIB’s International Conference Hall.

He said: “The main principle in Imam Ali’s view is to live well, so God will offer us a good chic and will open the correct door for us.”
,br/> He then mentioned a verse from the Quran ‘If you support Allah , He will support you’, and said: “This verse is a divine principle, it has no meaning that us humans don’t act based on ethics in our life and meanwhile wait for the help of God. ‘If you support Allah’ is continued. It is not enough to act based on ethics only once, we should always act based on ethics in our life so that God will help.”

He added: “In Imam Ali’s (a.s.) school of thoughts in ethical situations we should look through hearts and not any heart but a heart that has lived like Imam Ali (a.s.). Then all the doors will be opened to us.”

A great ethical symbol in the Islamic world is Imam Ali (a.s.). One day he kept silence for the sake of God, and another day he drew his sword for God’s sake and a day he companied the orphans for the sake of God. Once they told him that Muaviyyah is wiser than you and he responded that I’m committed to ethical principles.” said Sayyid Hassan.

He pointed to Imam’s life and said: “Commitment to ethical principles is seen in every point of Imam’s life. Once they Imam told me that a person is bad, and he responded that no he’s good, then they told him but he’s not good with you and he responded that am I a principle of the religion that if someone isn’t good with we should consider him a bad person and if he’s good with me we should consider him a good person?”

Imam Khomeini’s grandson stated at the end: “In different political, educational, economic and individual fields we are facing thousands of ethical and moral persecutions. One wants to talk but he fears its complications. He wants to tell the truth, but he fears its dangers. What is bold in the life of Imam Ali through the view of Imam Khomeini is that we should refer to our hearts and God will open the doors for us. But indeed under the condition that we are all good and always take a step towards improvement.”
